Manatees Visit to Beach Demonstrates Harmony Among all God's Creatures

By Dr. Russ

This video demonstrates the optimistic harmony that God intended for us to have between humans and all the creatures of the earth.  Perhaps you missed the subtly of meaning when reading the book of Genesis, but God did not create man and all the living creatures on the earth on different days.  No, they were created on the sixth day; first all the creatures according to their kinds and then man and woman.  Dr. Stephen Chapman of the Duke University Divinity School recently pointed this fact out at a lecture I attended on April 28, 2012.

According to Chapman, even though we were given dominion over the fish of the sea, birds of the air, animals of the earth and every creeping thing, God used the same day to create both human and animal in order to demonstrate his intention that all living things in the animal and human kingdoms should live in harmony.

Take a look at this video of Manatees visiting a Fort Lauderdale Beach.  You can't help but see God's optimism at work as the children squeal and adults exclaim their awe at the miracle of nature.  Meanwhile the Manatees seem to be having a great time entertaining the onlookers.

For, this picture is "pure optimism" in action, up close and personal.  What do you think?
